Important RXNT Alert Rule
Do not automatically override allergy, interaction, duplicate-therapy, dose, or other medication warnings. Review the alert, determine whether provider action is required, and document the clinical decision when appropriate. If the warning cannot be resolved safely, do not transmit the prescription until the concern has been reviewed.
Controlled Medication Reminder
Controlled medication prescriptions require the appropriate provider authorization, identity verification, prescribing credentials, electronic signature process, and supporting documentation. Follow all applicable federal, state, TNC, and RXNT requirements before submission. Staff members must never prescribe, approve, or sign a controlled medication order on behalf of a provider.
